The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is the primary governing body of cricket in the country, but the 2023-24 audit report has shocked fans and experts. The report revealed that financial irregularities and mismanagement exceeding PKR 6 billion exist within the PCB.

1. بجٹ سے زیادہ اخراجات
پی سی بی نے مقررہ بجٹ سے 66 کروڑ روپے زائد خرچ کیے، جن کی کوئی واضح منظوری یا جواز پیش نہیں کیا گیا۔
The PCB exceeded its approved budget by PKR 660 million, with no clear approval or justification for the extra spending.
2. اسپانسرشپ ریکوری میں ناکامی
اسپانسرشپ کی مد میں 5 ارب 34 کروڑ روپے کی رقم ریکور نہیں کی جا سکی، جس سے ادارے کو بھاری نقصان ہوا۔
A total of PKR 5.34 billion in sponsorship dues remained unrecovered, causing significant financial losses to the organization.
3. میڈیا رائٹس میں نقصان
میڈیا رائٹس کو ریزرو پرائس سے کم قیمت پر دینے سے 44 کروڑ روپے کا نقصان ہوا۔
Media broadcasting rights were sold below the reserve price, resulting in a loss of PKR 440 million.
4. سرکاری گاڑیوں اور وسائل کا غلط استعمال
پی ایس ایل میچوں کے دوران 14 بلٹ پروف گاڑیوں کی موجودگی کے باوجود کرائے پر کوسٹرز لیے گئے، جس سے 2 کروڑ 25 لاکھ روپے کا نقصان ہوا، جبکہ گاڑیوں نے 2 کروڑ روپے کا ڈیزل بھی استعمال کیا۔
Despite having 14 bulletproof vehicles, additional coasters were rented for PSL matches, incurring an extra loss of PKR 22.5 million, while these vehicles also consumed PKR 20 million worth of fuel.
5. چیئرمین پی سی بی کے غیر قانونی اخراجات
چیئرمین پی سی بی نے یوٹیلٹی بلز، پٹرولیم اور ہوٹل رہائش کی مد میں 41 لاکھ روپے کے غیر قانونی اخراجات کیے۔
The PCB chairman incurred unauthorized expenses of PKR 4.1 million on utility bills, petroleum, and hotel accommodations.
6. سیکیورٹی اخراجات میں بے ضابطگیاں
میچوں کے دوران سیکیورٹی پر مامور پولیس نے 6 کروڑ 33 لاکھ روپے کا کھانا کھایا، جسے غیر قانونی قرار دیا گیا، جبکہ حکام کو اضافی 20 فکسڈ ڈیلی الاؤنسز بھی دیے گئے۔
Police assigned to match security consumed PKR 63.3 million worth of meals, deemed unauthorized, while officers were also paid 20 fixed daily allowances.

ڈائمنڈ کرکٹ گراؤنڈ کو 55 لاکھ روپے کی غیر قانونی ادائیگیاں، اسلام آباد کلب کے کمرشل استعمال سے 2 کروڑ 25 لاکھ روپے کی آمدنی، اور ڈائریکٹر میڈیا کی 9 لاکھ ماہانہ تنخواہ سمیت کئی دیگر غیر قانونی معاہدے رپورٹ میں شامل ہیں۔
Other irregularities included PKR 5.5 million in unauthorized payments to Diamond Cricket Ground, PKR 22.5 million earned by Islamabad Club from commercial use of facilities, and the appointment of a media director with a PKR 900,000 monthly salary, among several other unlawful contracts.

The Auditor General recommended recovering unauthorized expenses and holding those responsible accountable, while the public and social media users demand transparency and reforms.
